So, this post may be controversial so I apologize in advance, but my target audience are Christians, Catholics to be exact.
We started 7 months with a bang! We got baptized! Yes, we did. Well, I didn’t get baptized because I was already baptized two decades ago, but Ifreka was. It was a small family affair, I did it at my mum’s place so yes, 3/4 of the guests were her guests. I am not complaining though, this is her first grandchild she can brag and do the much she can. I think I will wait for my second child, lol!
To be honest, having Ifreka being baptized wasn’t my idea, it was my mum’s. So, why did I say yes to it? One, this is her first grandchild, saying no to her ideas is more like denying a baby candy. Yes, I compared my mother to a toddler. Second, I believe in God, and God has His angels looking over us as much as we end up getting into lots of trouble. Have you ever gotten yourself in a situation where you know you will not walk out alive or get yourself in some really deep trouble then walk out of it as if nothing happened? I have, and I believe that my assigned Angel got me out of that mess.
So, I dedicated Ifreka to the Lord, and it was a perfect event. He cried when the water went through his head, but he was fine after that. He was cranky because the baptism took place during his nap time, but we have to teach our kids how to compromise, right? That was a joke. So, I did it, and I thank my mum for pushing me to do it. Are you a Christian? Have you dedicated your little one(s) to the Lord?
